bean bag hire Port Stephens

Every October Longworth Park in Karuah hosts the eclectic Karuah Oyster and Timber Festival.  This attracts people from all over the Port Stephens area, and there is something at this festival to keep everyone happy.

As the title states Oysters and Timber are the two-star attractions.  The annual oyster eating competition is hotly contested and had 180 entrants last year.

Timber is the other star attraction.  The hotly contested wood chopping and chainsaw and post splitting championships are also great to watch.

But there are so many other things going on.

Sponsor a rubber ducky to compete on your behalf in the 200m “Great Karuah River Duck Race” later on the afternoon.

There is a Junior Fishing Competition and plenty of games to keep the kids entertained.

What festival would be complete without plenty of market and food stalls?

The competition between the food stalls has lifted the bar in recent years.  As a stallholder, you constantly need to be finding ways to differentiate yourself from the other stall holders.   Of course, your priority is serving delicious, fresh food.

A secondary priority would be finding something that will attract customers to your stall and encourage them to stick around.  What has worked well at our festivals is providing some comfortable seating for your customers to chill out and enjoy their purchase.

An easy, convenient option is to hire beanbags from Outdoor Beanbag Hire.  Tough enough to withstand the festival crowds, these vinyl beanbags are easily cleaned from dirt and sticky food spills with a quick wipe.  They can be converted into an upright seat, or left as a lazy lounge.  There are ten colours to choose from, to keep things consistent with your branding, or you can go for the rainbow effect.

Of course, when you provide seating, there will be a little bit more cleaning to do.

Think of the benefits:

  • Bright coloured beanbags will make you stand out
  • People will hang around your stall longer and be more likely to purchase more items.
  • Happy people, lounging around enjoying your food makes your stall look busy, attracting more new customers who want to be part of the buzz.

Service is a great way to set you apart, and providing comfortable bean bags will make your customers enjoy your food even more.
